The two designs of the magical Firebird were inspired by the Ballet Russe’s Firebird ballet and the story of the majestic bird.

We are ringing in the New Year with New Arrivals here at the shop! And we are very excited for these new arrivals for the home, from Finnish Illustrator Klaus Haapaniemi. As you can see from the beautiful pictures, his work is influenced by nature, Finnish folklore, fantasy and traditional decorative arts with a modern twist. Any of these cushions would make for a stunning addition to any home!

Introducing : Klaus Haapaniemi

We are truly delighted to be introducing Klaus Haapaniemi’s fine textile designs here at the shop. Artist Klaus Haapaniemi and designer Mia Wallenius founded their design studio together in 2010, in London.

Klaus is a talented illustrator who has designed everything from prints for Clements Ribeiro, Cacharel, and Marimekko, to ceramics for Iittala, to book covers for Penguin. His partner Mia is a creative designer and has worked as Senior Art Director for Gucci Group. Together, their studio produces the most beautiful scarves, throws, and pillows. Their approach is self-described as “influenced by nature, Finnish folklore, fantasy and traditional decorative arts with a modern twist.”
